By downloading, installing, or using Safr (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Safr is an emergency safety application that allows users to quickly share their location with trusted contacts during emergencies. The App is intended for emergency use only and should not replace professional emergency services (911 or local equivalents).

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful emergency purposes
• Provide accurate information for your emergency contacts
• Obtain consent from individuals before adding them as emergency contacts
• Not use the App to harass, stalk, or harm others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the App's security

4. Emergency Services Disclaimer

Important: Safr is not a replacement for official emergency services. Always contact 911 (or your local emergency number) first in life-threatening situations. The App is a supplementary tool to notify your personal contacts.

5. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safr and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.

The App depends on various factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

• GPS signal availability and accuracy
• Cellular network coverage and SMS delivery
• Battery life of your device
• Device compatibility and performance

6. No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Safr and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
